At RGS, we’ve recently added Cryptocurrency to our AI Thematic Investing Solutions. Using our latest Narrative Intelligence Tool, we’re able to identify the relevant companies that are mapped to any aspect of the wider crypto ecosystem, from protocol development all the way to final financial products and integration, with direct evidence from company reporting and beyond.

To do this, we built a clear structure of the current crypto infrastructure and network, which is used as the basis of our analysis. We use this framework to identify and map not just companies that are directly involved in the crypto space, but also any company with relevant exposure to any section of the ecosystem.

This means that while we cover the usual suspects like Coinbase, Riot Platforms, and MicroStrategy, we go further to capture companies that might be missed by more standard thematic searches. This includes big players like MercadoLibre, which provides crypto-asset trading and custody services on their platform and recently introduced a stablecoin in Brazil tied to the US dollar. Other examples include Lemonade Inc, an insurance company who have launched a blockchain- based insurance product for subsistence farmers, and Clear Secure Inc whose secure identity platform includes KYC solutions which will be crucial for digital marketplaces that require identity verification as cryptocurrencies are increasingly integrated into the mainstream financial world.
