Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior ESG Researcher with an excellent understanding of corporate ESG data and methodologies and how they can be used to deliver actionable insights on companies for investors. The successful applicant will combine exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with expertise in ESG data gained through relevant experience with a data provider, asset management research team or academic research. S/he will lead a small team of ESG Researchers to quantify the environmental and social impacts of companies’ products and will be responsible to continuously improve the methodology, validate model assumptions and improve our product offering for investors. The individual will be expected to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and thus demonstrate ambition, excellent team-work skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

The role will provide a deep understanding of the environmental and social impacts of large corporations and their relevance for investors. It is also an opportunity to be part of the early stages of product development at a fast-growing SaaS startup.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team researching and designing industry specific frameworks to measure company’s product impacts
  • Deliver relevant, actionable insights on companies to investors. Become a trusted go-to expert on core ESG topics
  • Continuously improve how we think and model ESG impact risks and opportunities and how we develop solutions for investors globally
  • Identify, map and analyze relevant datasets to enhance the impact calculations
  • Check and validate impact calculations and assumptions
  • Prepare reports and presentations of document findings
  • Support the overall mission, vision and goals of Richmond Global Sciences

Skills and Requirements:

  • Passionate about social impact and sustainability issues and the use of data to solve them
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret data, theorize, and make decisions based on data
  • Advanced degree in economics, econometrics, finance, statistics or other applied quantitative field. PhD would be desirable
  • 3+ years of experience relating to social and environmental impact methodologies, whether with a data provider, asset manager, or within academia. Relevant knowledge or experience on specific industries would be desirable and should be highlighted in the application
  • Experience guiding team members to implement technical methodology developments
  • Solid data analysis skills using Excel (Python is highly desirable)
  • Ability to communicate data insights to a non-analytical audience
  • Self-starter who will excel in a start-up environment by taking ownership and initiative

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join the Software Development team at RGS for a full-time role in our Budapest, Hungary office. The successful applicant will work closely with our Research team to implement the ESG data models and calculations for various industries end-to-end. S/he will be responsible for many elements in the data pipeline, including Data Collection (including scraping), Data Normalization and Cleansing, ETL, implementing the Impact Calculations and Report Generation. The Data Engineer will also be involved in architectural design and decisions, overall product development, and data pipeline operation.

Besides the technical challenges, the role will provide the opportunity to understand the environmental and social impacts of large corporations and the early stages of product development at a fast-growing SaaS startup.

Responsibilities:

  • In close collaboration with the Research team, implement and productionize our proprietary, industry-specific impact models
  • Develop data models and pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learning
  • Operate our Data Warehouse and Pipeline infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain Data Collection (scraping), and ETL scripts and pipelines
  • Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data issues and assist in the resolution

Skills and Requirements:

  • Passionate about social impact and sustainability issues and the use of data to solve them.
  • Ability to interpret data and models and implement calculations efficiently
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of Python development
  • Fluent SQL and Pandas on large data sets
  • PySpark and DataBricks experience is a big plus
  • Data analysis using Excel and Python
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and data related services
  • Ability to communicate with a non-technical audience
  • Self-starter who will excel in a startup environment by taking ownership and initiative

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager experienced in ESG and/or financial technology product development and in the application of ESG research in investing. She/he will play a key role in developing and productizing an ESG impact suite that meets expanding market needs for leading ESG data, insights and tools on companies’ products. In addition, the Product Manager will contribute to the creation of the evolving longer term company strategy related to ESG impact solutions. As part of a technology focused team, the Senior Product Manager will champion the suite of RGS solutions to a growing global client base. S/he will work closely with clients and prospects to identify their needs, and adapt the strategy and development priorities accordingly.

The role requires a team player and problem solver who excels in a dynamic environment. Although this role requires close collaboration with the ESG research and the Marketing team, the position is predominantly a product development and management role that focuses on productization of our in-house ESG related research.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the vision and roadmap for the RGS suite of solutions to ensure a competitive offering that aligns with investor priorities
  • Design / develop requirements to meet identified client / market needs
  • Work with clients to refine the use cases and adapt product roadmap accordingly
  • Lead the execution of the product roadmap, collaborating with internal teams and managing the development lifecycle of features in order to bring them to market
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists and UX designers to define and execute on the ESG product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
  • Translate ESG Research insights into actionable product outcomes
  • Monitor industry changes, regulatory requirements and competitor offerings

Skills and Requirements:

  • Passionate about social impact and sustainability issues and the use of data to solve them
  • At least 5 years of relevant end-to-end product development and execution experience as a product owner / product manager in the financial services, asset management, financial data and analytics industry
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of ESG in the investment management process, relevant use cases and applications
  • Experience within a front office investment environment is helpful inclusive of direct exposure to portfolio management or credit & equity research process
  • CFA certification is not necessary but is considered an asset
  • Applicants need to be eligible to work in the UK or Hungary
